Am Freitag gastieren wir beim absoluten Kultklub in Wien-Hernals. Es ist das erste Aufeinandertreffen beider Mannschaften überhaupt.
Der Wiener Sport-Club blickt auf eine unglaubliche 115-jährige Geschichte zurück, welche von Tiefen aber auch vielen Höhen geprägt ist. So wurde der Club aus Dornbach 3x österreichischer Meister, österreichischer Cupsieger und konnte auch den internationalen Intertoto-Cup gewinnen. Obwohl all diese Erfolge schon Jahrzehnte zurückliegen, zählt der WSC zu den größten Namen im heimischen Fußball.
Trainiert wird die Mannschaft von Robert Weinstabl, kein unbekannter im südlichen Niederösterreich, war er doch einige Zeit Sollenau Trainer. Der Sport-Club belegt derzeit mit 24 Punkten den 5. Platz in der Regionalliga Ost. Nach dem sensationellen Cup-Erfolg gegen die Wiener Austria, gelang ihnen in der vorletzten Runde ein 4:0 Heimsieg gehen Wr. Neustadt und letzte Woche gabs ein 3:3 in Neusiedl.
Unsere Mannschaft befindet sich trotz teilweisen guten Leistungen in einem Ergebnisstief, liegt der letzte Punktezuwachs doch schon 1 Monat zurück. Dennoch wird das Team rund um Daniel Ressler alles daran setzen, um vom Sport-Club Platz Zählbares mit ins Pittental zu nehmen.
Spielbeginn ist am Freitag um 19:30 Uhr. Der USV wird von 2 Fanbussen und über 100 Auswärtsfans begleitet werden!
